Jack Butland believes Rangers are continuing to grow under Philippe Clement after showing their adaptability to beat St Mirren 1-0 in Paisley.
Swirling wind at the SMiSA stadium on Saturday lunchtime made good football all but impossible but ultimately striker Cyriel Dessers’ goal after 14 minutes – his 12th of the season – was enough to take the three points back to Ibrox.
Rangers remain five points behind cinch Premiership leaders Celtic with a game in hand and Butland told RangersTV: “We are developing as a team. There is obviously an end goal of what we want to achieve but we have to take it a game at a time and get the results that we want and we did that.

Swansea City can set a new standard this season with solid performances in their final 12 Premier League games, says Garry Monk.
Garry Monk has challenged Swansea City s players to write their name into the history books this season with their highest league finish since 1982.
Saturday s 2-1 win over Manchester United gave Monk s side their first league double over the 20-time champions, keeping them on course to challenge for a place in the top eight.
Swansea s highest finish since returning to the top flight came in the 2012-13 campaign when they finished ninth, the position they currently occupy in the Premier League, while the club s best placing of sixth was acheived 33 years ago.
We have an opportunity to create a special season for ourselves, sai…
Harry Arter absolved Moussa Sissoko of any wrongdoing after the Tottenham midfielder appeared to elbow him during Saturday s goalless draw with Bournemouth.
Sissoko s flailing arm connected with Arter s face soon after replacing Dele Alli in the 72nd minute as they jostled for a ball at a throw-in.
Despite the Republic of Ireland international s protestations, referee Craig Pawson opted not to punish the former Newcastle United player, much to the frustration of the home crowd who felt he should have seen red.
After the match, though, Arter stressed that the incident was purely an accident.
Sissoko said to me afterwards that he did catch me but that it was by accident, he told Sky Sports.
He doesn t seem to be that sort of player, so I m sure …
Cristiano Ronaldo made history on Tuesday to give Juventus a 3-0 Serie A victory over Spezia in Turin.
The 36-year-old struck the third goal of the game after Alvaro Morata and Federico Chiesa had put the champions in control in the second half at the Allianz Stadium.
Ronaldo s clinical finish saw him become the first player to score at least 20 goals in each of the past 12 seasons in Europe s top-five leagues.
It was a moment to savour for the Portugal star, who was playing in the 600th league match of his career, as he moved two goals clear of Inter s Romelu Lukaku in the race to finish as Serie A top scorer for 2020-21.
The result lifted Juve back to within seven points of league leaders Inter with 14 games remaining, and head coach Andrea Pirlo is not…
Everton winger Dwight McNeil cautioned against premature celebrations despite his side taking a significant step towards Premier League safety.
McNeil’s second-half brace helped the Toffees climb out of the relegation zone with an emphatic 5-1 away win at Brighton on Monday to move them one place and two points clear of 18th-placed Leicester.
While taking all three points from Roberto De Zerbi’s side provided a considerable boost, McNeil quickly diverted his attention to Everton’s remaining fixtures.
“Winning on the road is massive for our confidence within the camp, especially going forward into our final three games,” he told the club website.

Cristiano Ronaldo s €112million move to Juventus from Real Madrid is good news for the casual Serie A fan, although it does not exactly level the playing field in terms of the title race.
One thing it does pretty much guarantee, though, is that we will have a new name in the race to finish as the top goalscorer in Italy s top flight next season.
The Capocannoniere prize has been keenly contested in recent years – the top scorers finished level in two of the last four seasons – but 2018-19 might just be the best contest in any of Europe s top leagues.
