According to AS, president Enrique Cerezo said he believes Antoine Griezmann wants to stay at the club beyond the summer.

Griezmann has been heavily linked with a summer move to , with reports going as far as to suggest the deal had been already arranged and the Frenchman was browsing for a house in the Catalan city.

But the Atletico president has moved to quash such rumors.

Cerezo says Griezmann hasn t informed him of his potential desire for a move away from the club and that any such statement from the player would come as a big surprise to him. He also pointed out that Griezmann is under contract with Atletico, that the contract is long-term and that he cannot sign for any other club without their permission, even if he did want the move.

Duncan Ferguson has been in interim charge since Marco Silva was sacked following the 5-2 loss to Premier League leaders Liverpool, the former striker securing a 3-1 win over Chelsea and a 1-1 draw away to Manchester United.

Ferguson will remain in the role for at least Wednesday s EFL Cup quarter-final against Leicester City as Everton continue their search for Silva s permanent successor.

Borussia Dortmund sporting director Michael Zorc has refused to rule out the prospect of Jurgen Klopp one day returning to the club.

Klopp will leave his post as Dortmund boss at the end of the season following a seven-year spell that has seen him guide the club to two Bundesliga titles, a DFB-Pokal and the UEFA Champions League final in 2013.

He will attempt to end his reign with one final piece of silverware as Dortmund take on Wolfsburg in the Pokal final at the end of the month before Thomas Tuchel takes over.

Belgian federation officials have begun courting Louis Van Gaal, who has just led AZ Alkmaar to the Dutch league crown, in the hope he will replace Rene Vandereycken as Belgium s national team coach, according to reports.

Flemish language paper Het Laatste Nieuws said Friday officials from the federation (URBSFA) travelled across the Dutch border Wednesday to enter talks with Van Gaal.

Dutchman Van Gaal, who won back-to-back Spanish titles with Barcelona in 1998 and 1999, is under contract with AZ until 2010 although the report suggested he could combine both jobs.

Romelu Lukaku s representatives have demanded an apology from Juventus and called on the Italian authorities to take action after their client suffered despicable racist abuse.

Inter forward Lukaku netted a 95th-minute penalty to salvage a 1-1 draw in Tuesday s Coppa Italia semi-final first leg between the two Serie A heavyweights.

However, Lukaku subsequently received a second yellow card after his celebration, which included holding a finger up to his lips in a shushing gesture to Juve s fans, resulted in a melee between the teams. Juve winger Juan Cuadrado and Inter goalkeeper Samir Handanovic also saw red.
