Next A Quiet Place Movie Could Be Directed By Pig's Michael Sarnoski

The next entry in Paramount’s A Quiet Place movie series might have found its director. After Jeff Nichols (Mud, Midnight Special) dropped out in 2021, the film studio is now in talks with Michael Sarnoski to direct the next A Quiet Place film, according to Deadline. Sarnoski is coming off the much-loved Nicolas Cage film Pig, which boasts a very impressive 97% on Rotten Tomatoes.

The next A Quiet Place movie is a spinoff based on an idea from the director of the first two movies, John Krasinski. According to the report, the new spinoff is part of a wider plan to create a Quiet Place “universe” that Paramount can build upon in the future.

According to the report, Krasinski saw Pig, was “blown away” by it, and put Sarnoski’s name on a short list of potential directors for the next A Quiet Place movie. Sarnoski is said to have pitched a vision for the next film that was “the perfect fit” for steering the series into the future.

Krasinski, who starred in the original A Quiet Place movie and flashback scenes in the sequel, will reportedly not come back for the spinoff, and nor will his partner in real life and in the movie, Emily Blunt.

It’s still very early days for the next A Quiet Place film, and there is no word yet on a cast or what the story might be. The two films released so far have combined to generate about $640 million at the box office. Come from Sports betting site VPbet

In other news, a video game based on A Quiet Place is in the works for 2022. Developers who worked on the Rainbow Six and Far Cry franchises are among those working on the new title, which aims to “capture the compelling suspense, emotion and drama for which the series is famous.”
